Program Overview

Create a Loop offers full-time classes on campus at our partner schools, teacher training in computer science education, Saturday sessions during the school year, and summer sessions.

The majority of our direct service is done on site at our partner schools where we provide all curriculum, equipment and staff necessary to deploy a comprehensive computer science and coding program at no cost to schools whose populations focus on low-income students and students of color. Create a Loop also provides multi-year teacher training in programming and computer science.

We are now offering our classes virtually to students for both Monday through Friday classes and Saturday sessions.

Location

Create a Loop is headquartered on Delmar Boulevard. Our classes are held on campus at various schools in Saint Louis. Training and meetings may also be held at theDelmar office location or at one of these school sites.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Manager. This full-time position is responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, and evaluation of our educational programs. This individual will report directly to the Executive Director and work closely with various stakeholders, including educators, community leaders, and partner organizations, to drive the success of our initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Program Development: Collaborate with our instructors, school administrators, and district leadership to design, develop, and implement educational programs aligned with Create a Loop mission and goals.

  2. Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of programs, ensuring they are aligned to the standards of both our organization and active grant programs.

  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with educators, schools, community partners, grantors, and other stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness and community impact.

  4. Resource Management: Oversee the allocation of resources, including budgets, materials, and personnel, to support program activities.

  5. Monitoring and Evaluation: Utilize and enhance metrics and evaluation processes to assess program impact, making data-driven decisions to improve outcomes.

  6. Reporting: Prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting program achievements (including student metrics), challenges, and future plans.

  7. Training and Support: Provide guidance and support to program staff, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to excel in their roles.

  8. Collaboration: Foster collaboration and teamwork among program staff, encouraging a positive and inclusive work environment.

  9. Adaptability: Stay informed about trends and developments in education, adapting programs to meet evolving needs and challenges.

  10. Advocacy: Advocate for the organization's mission and programs, participating in community outreach and awareness campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in program management within the education or nonprofit sector.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of educational policies, trends, and best practices.

  • Data-driven mindset with proficiency in monitoring and evaluation.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when needed.

  • Passion for education and a commitment to the organization's mission.
